Search free Garmin maps by place name

You can use these maps on your Windows smartphone or pocket pc

Please note that Google Co-op used to deliver this search is still in beta and often works not as expected.

Search for geographic names in all languages you know. Sometimes you can find a map of Croatia on a Polish site.

If you are searching in some language in which the name can have different forms, try them. Google doesn't do it for this custom search.

Search for larger areas (e.g. countries) if you can't find certain locations. These larger maps can have enough detail.

Mozilla Firefox 1.x users can copy this file to their Firefox "searchplugins" directory

Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 7 users can add custom search for this page from browser menus.
